Process Engineering Manager


This is a Full-time position in Midland, TX posted February 22, 2021.

The Process Engineering Manager has hands-on responsibility for the development and implementation of manufacturing process for the plant. Responsibilities include improving processes, reducing ergonomic issues, troubleshooting processes and developing cost effective alternatives. Proving out feasibility of projects, project management, capital determination and synergizing with Operations and Maintenance to follow projects through the implementation phase is necessary.Job Requirements:Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee the safe, cost effective and timely completion of Lean continuous improvement projects that meet or exceed expectations Manage Assembly Maintenance team Prepare and review both expanse and capital project proposals Develop or apply industry best practices and technologies to our process while meeting AOP parameters Lead the Management of Change Process in our facility Act as technical liaison between various departments Research and determine solutions / alternatives to existing processes that will enhance safety and ergonomics while improving cost per unit Work with Operations, QA, and Maintenance to troubleshoot issues on the production floor Develop a Pareto analysis of maintenance issues and drive continuous improvement by using the data Develop risk mitigation programs for critical manufacturing constraints Actively participate in workplace incidents and accidents so that recurrence of issues can be engineered out Work in conjunction with the Diecast and Polishing Manager to drive rework reduction projects for our Polishing Department 6S Development projects for functional areas Collaborate with Maintenance on projects to drive mechanical uptimeDesired Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Prior Lean experience or a robust knowledge of lean principles Mechanical experience is desired and electrical experience is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
