WBL Coordinator

This is a Full-time position in San Marcos, TX posted February 21, 2021.

Gary Job Corps Center is seeking an energetic and driven Work-Based Learning Coordinator responsible for providing students with employability training leading to full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training. Coordinates and manages Work-Based Learning program ensuring students are actively participating in on- and off-Center on-the-job training assignments to improve employability skill-set.

*must be at least 21 years old

* have a strong record of meeting or exceeding goals,

* great public speaking skills,

* articulate and educate young people to achieve daily tasks,

* have a proven track record of problem solving and critical thinking,

* have excellent skills working with people of all backgrounds,

* are good with systems and processes,

* know how to set and enforce high standards,

* have experience in working fast pace environment

* have experience in counseling and group facilitation,

* can effectively multi-task,

* have good organization skills,

* have effective time management skills,

* are resourceful, and

* have a good sense of humor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school preferred. Prefer previous Job Corps or related program experience. Computer literacy and proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications required. Must possess a valid in-state Driver’s License and meet the Company insurability requirements.

All qualified candidates will successfully complete the required pre-employment process to include the following: Drug Screen, Criminal Background, Education Verification, Employment Verification, and COVID-19 testing.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
