Senior Executive Compensation Partner

Job Summary:The Senior Executive Compensation Partner supports the design, administration and communication of The Company’s Executive Total Rewards programs including short
– and long-term incentive programs administration for the global executive population (CEO, Senior Leadership, VPs and Directors).

Responsible for ensuring the Company’s executive compensation strategies align with business objectives.

Designs, communicates and reports on executive compensation; coordinates eligibility for plans with the Global Director of Compensation; collaborates activities with legal and finance.Principal Responsibilities:* Manages the global executive compensation program (LTI & STI) as an end-to-end process, including administration, communications, SOX compliance, and reporting.* Works with external executive compensation consultants on executive pay benchmarking, reporting, and regulatory matters.* Prepares executive and board level presentations and reports.

Partners closely with the Chief People Officer on executive compensation matters and assists in the development and preparation of materials for the Board of Directors Compensation Committee meetings.* Contributes to the preparation of the proxy statement CD&A, and compensation tables/exhibits where appropriate.* Provides strategic direction and oversight of the administration of Avnet’s long-term equity incentive plans.* Directs and manages the annual grant cycle of Avnet’s long-term incentive program.

Models compensation incentives and scenarios based on business objectives and financial forecasts.* Leads all global benchmarking and grading of all executives (director & above) to assure consistency while maintaining external competitive equity and internal equity.* Manages the governance process for LTI and STI programs globally.

Assures regions maintain compliance with corporate standards, particularly for STI.

Reviews quarterly STI results vs.

payouts to assure alignment.* Serves as liaison for executive compensation with other functional areas, including HR operations and finance.Job Level Specifications:* Mastery knowledge of industry best practices and disciplines.

Considered a subject matter expert within the organization and contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.* Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations.

Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables.

Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.* Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives.

Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion.

May act as informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.* Serves as consultant to management and/or internal/external spokesperson for the organization on major initiatives related to policies, plans and long-range objectives.* Actions may impact the organization and its reputation.

Effects of erroneous decisions may be long-lasting, influence the future course of the organization and/or require the expenditure of extensive additional resources.Work Experience:* Typically 8+ years with bachelor’s or equivalent.Education and Certification(s):* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.Distinguishing Characteristics:* CCP preferredThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
