Summary

As the Purchasing Coordinator, this candidate will perform purchasing roles and responsibilities for this DFW homebuilder. This candidate will maintain a thorough understanding of the industry and candidate MUST have experience working for a residential builder directly, in a purchasing role.

Client Details

This client is a well known production/semi-custom homebuilder in the DFW market. They are headquartered on the North side and focus their homebuilding efforts primarily in this area. Very well known for their company culture and quality of product.

Description

  • Create all necessary budgets and purchase orders for all construction starts with budgets customized for address specific jobs.
  • Coordinate cost establishment process between the field and vendors to achieve the goals of having budgets entered and checked for accuracy.
  • Validate requests from the field for extras by validating cost requested know cost. Takeoffs and/or bids issued EPO’s with proper reason codes.
  • Process change orders in a timely manner ensuring production is not held up, creating the appropriate budgets and issuing the EPOs with proper reason codes.
  • Research and resolve all problem invoices with the goal of reducing problems by improving accuracy of takeoffs and orders and/or training vendors in working within our system.
  • Assist managers in analyzing changes in costs from month to month by keeping track of takeoff revisions, price changes, and labor budget changes.

Profile

  • Residential purchasing experience is required
  • Prior knowledge of Brix software is preferred
  • High school diploma is required
  • College degree is preferred
  • Experience in customer service is required
  • Prior experience with MS Office Software is required
  • Ability to adapt and willing to learn attitude
