Optical Sorter

Pro staff

This is a Full-time position in Lewisville, TX posted February 20, 2021.

SUMMARY

Responsible for sorting incoming frames, patterns, or articles and match them up with existing orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

  1. Prioritizing of work based on start dates while following standard operating procedures. 
  2. Receives and places incoming frames, tracings, and tint samples into correct existing order/tray
  3. Document any changes on existing order that customer have asked to be changed
  4. Maintain a neat workstation
  5. Date tag orders as needed
  6. Use a computer to log frames to applicable trays

Secondary Duties

  1. Receive incoming deliveries
  2. Assist in Patterns/Tracers when necessary

PRODUCTION AND QUALITY GOALS

  1. Produce 80 jobs per hour with less than 1% error

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • None required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • The ability to communication openly with others and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
  • Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
  • Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
  • The ability to do simple/basic math
  • Work without supervision
  • Able to memorize data accurately
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program.
  • Closed toe shoe required with heel support
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment may require P.P.E.
  • Safety glasses and long sleeve shirts may be required where needed.
